For most residential roofing jobs, a 20-yard container at $455.00 is the right call. Roofing shingles are heavy — a typical 1,500 sq ft roof tear-off runs 3–4 tons. The 20-yard's capacity handles the volume while the weight stays manageable.

For larger roofs (2,500+ sq ft) or commercial buildings, the 30-yard at $550.00 is more appropriate. If you're a contractor doing multiple properties, ask about our volume discount program.

For a single-car garage cleanout, the 10-yard at $375.00 usually does it. For a double garage, shed, or basement combined, the 20-yard at $455.00 is the safe choice.

For a full estate cleanout — furniture, appliances, boxes, general household items — the 20-yard or 30-yard is typical depending on the size of the home. Estate cleanouts involve a lot of low-density items (fabric, cardboard, wood furniture) that fill volume quickly without weighing much, so you'll likely stay well within the tonnage limit even with a large container.

Yes — mixed loads are totally fine. You can mix construction debris, household junk, furniture, and yard waste in the same container. The only restriction is the prohibited items list (hazardous materials, chemicals, etc.).

One exception: if you're loading mostly concrete, brick, dirt, or masonry, use the 10-yard container. These materials are so dense that mixing them into a larger container risks exceeding the DOT weight limit before the container looks full — resulting in overweight penalties.

Not necessarily — as long as there's clear access and you've given us clear placement instructions, our driver can deliver and pick up without you present.

Dried paint cans with lids off are fine. Freon appliances (refrigerators, AC units) can be accepted if tagged as professionally evacuated.

Most appliances: yes. Washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, and similar appliances can go in the container.

Refrigerators and AC units: These contain Freon (refrigerant) and must be professionally evacuated before disposal. If your fridge or AC has an evacuation tag from a certified technician, we can accept it. If not, it cannot go in the container. Check with us if you're unsure.

Yes. We partner with certified Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs) across Hampton Roads to divert maximum waste from landfills. Clean concrete, metal, and certain clean loads are routed to appropriate recycling processors.

For commercial and government accounts requiring recycling documentation (LEED projects, military base contracts, etc.), we can provide waste diversion reports. Contact us for details.

Fill to the rim, not over it. Debris must not extend above the container walls — this is a DOT transport safety requirement, not just our policy. Overfilled containers cannot be legally transported and will require you to remove excess materials before pickup.

For large, awkward items (lumber, mattresses, doors), lay them flat and load other items around and on top to maximize use of space. Our drivers can walk you through loading tips when they drop off your container.

Dumpster rental is the right choice when you're doing a project over multiple days and need a container on-site to load at your own pace. You load it, we pick it up when you're done.

Junk removal is better when you want it gone same-day (weekdays, when available), can't load it yourself, or don't have a good place to put a container. Our crew comes to you, loads everything, and hauls it away — you don't lift a finger.
