Couches, Sectionals and Recliners
Upholstered pieces are the most common call we get. A sleeper sofa hides a steel frame that makes it far heavier than it looks, and a sectional that came in through the patio door in pieces usually needs to leave the same way. Our crew takes off legs and separates sections when that's what it takes to clear a doorway without scraping the frame.
Recliners and lift chairs are welcome too. Mention any power recliner when you ask for a quote so we know to bring the right help for the weight.
Outdoor furniture counts as well: rusted patio sets, weathered Adirondack chairs and rotting picnic tables from porches and decks around Hampton Roads go out with the same crew.
Dressers, Armoires and Bedroom Sets
Empty the drawers before we arrive; a loaded dresser can double in weight, and anything left inside goes with it. Tall armoires and entertainment centers often come apart at the crown or base, which makes stairways much easier.
Bed frames, headboards and nightstands are ordinary furniture. Mattresses and box springs are their own category, covered on our mattress disposal page.
Rather Load It Yourself? Flat-Rate Dumpsters

Office Furniture for Businesses and Home Offices
Relocations and downsizes leave behind desks, conference tables, cubicle panels, task chairs and filing cabinets. Our commercial junk removal team can clear an office suite during business hours, Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Sunday available by appointment.
Pull every file out of cabinets and drawers first. We haul furniture, not records, and the office is responsible for shredding anything sensitive.
Chairs on casters, modular panels and conference tables usually break down quickly. If the building has a freight elevator or a loading dock, let us know the reservation window so the crew arrives ready to move straight through.
When a Roll-Off Beats a Crew Visit
Replacing furniture throughout a whole house, or clearing a home before a sale, can make a dumpster the better value. A 20-yard dumpster runs $455 with 2 tons included and a 7-day rental, which leaves room for several rooms' worth of couches, tables and chairs. You do the carrying, and we handle delivery, pickup and disposal.
Upholstered furniture is bulky but light, so it fills space well before it reaches the weight limit. That's why most furniture-heavy projects pick the 20-yard over the 10.
How to Get a Fast, Accurate Quote
Junk removal is priced by volume, so the better the description, the tighter the quote. Text photos to 757-250-7985 along with a few details:
- How many pieces, and roughly how large
- Which floor they're on and whether there are stairs or an elevator
- Any tight turns, narrow hallways or low ceilings on the way out
- Your neighborhood, such as Ghent in Norfolk, Red Mill in Virginia Beach or Hilton Village in Newport News
Questions We Hear Most
Will you pick up just one couch?
Yes. Single-item pickups are a regular part of our junk removal work. Send a photo of the couch and let us know where it sits in the house, and we'll give you a quote based on its size. Adding a chair or table to the same trip is often worth doing while the crew is already there.
Do I need to bring the furniture outside first?
No. Our crew carries furniture out from wherever it sits, whether that's a second-floor bedroom, a finished attic or a back porch. Clear a path through the house and point out anything fragile along the way. If you'd rather move it to the curb or garage yourself, tell us and we'll factor that in.
Can you remove furniture from an upstairs apartment?
Yes. Apartments and condos with stairs or elevators are common, especially in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Let us know the floor, whether the building has an elevator and any loading rules from management, such as reserved elevator times, so the crew can plan the trip and arrive prepared.
Can I put an old sectional in a dumpster?
Yes. Couches, sectionals, chairs and other household furniture are standard dumpster debris. Break sections apart and stand cushions on end to make the most of the space. The only bedroom items with a separate fee are mattresses and box springs, which are $100 each when placed in a dumpster.
Do you donate furniture that's still in good shape?
If a piece is in usable condition and you want it donated, tell us when you ask for a quote. We can keep it separate from the rest of the load so it can go to the donation organization you choose. Worn, broken or stained furniture is hauled away for disposal.
How is furniture removal priced?
Junk removal is quoted by volume and the specific items, not with a flat price list. Photos sent by text to 757-250-7985 are the quickest way to get a number. Stairs, long carries and very heavy pieces are part of the description we use to put the quote together.
